What I'm Loving Now...
I took a quick trip to Sephora yesterday, and I say quick because if I allow myself to spend more than just ten minutes in that store, I can do some serious damage to my bank account. In that short interim, I managed to fall hopelessly and completely in love with the Nirvana Black perfume from Elizabeth and James. Created by perfumers Pierre Negrin and Honorine Blanc for the aforementioned line owned by Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen, it embodies warm scents of vanilla, violet, and sandalwood. It's beautifully musky without being overpoweringly strong.
For years, my signature scent was Agent Provocateur, which to me smells like an angel; if that angel loved classic burlesque, love affairs in Paris, and frilly pink lingerie. Black Nirvana is like her beautiful younger sister; sophisticated features mixed with hints of hidden, darker layers.

There is also a lighter version called Nirvana White, which has a fresh air of peonies and makes me think of garden parties and stolen glances on a hazy summer's night.
They are both available in a 1.7 oz spray for $75 or a .34 oz roller version for $22.
Love, love, love!
